Admissions Process

How do I apply for housing?

You can apply online through our Get Help page, call us at (509) 713-9462, or email office@fourthdimensionliving.org. We'll schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs and determine if our services are a good fit.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Applicants must be 18 years or older, committed to recovery and sobriety, able to live independently with minimal support, and willing to participate in our programming. We serve men and women in separate facilities.

How long does the admissions process take?

The process typically takes 3-7 days from initial application to move-in, depending on availability and completion of required background checks and assessments.

Do you accept referrals from agencies?

Yes! We welcome referrals from healthcare providers, social services, treatment facilities, and other community organizations. Visit our Partners page for more information.

Is there a wait list?

Availability varies by location. We maintain a wait list for our facilities. Contact us to check current availability or join our wait list for upcoming locations.

Housing & Facilities

What type of rooms are available?

We offer private one-bedroom rooms as well as shared two-person and three-person rooms. Room type depends on availability and individual needs.

What amenities are included?

All facilities include furnished bedrooms, shared bathrooms, communal kitchens, living spaces, laundry facilities, and on-site management. Utilities, WiFi, and basic household supplies are included.

How long can I stay?

Length of stay varies based on individual needs and goals. Most residents stay 3-12 months. We work with each resident to create an individualized plan for achieving self-sufficiency.

Are the facilities substance-free?

Yes. All our facilities are completely substance-free environments. Random drug testing is conducted to ensure safety and compliance.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets at this time due to allergies and facility regulations. Certified service animals may be permitted with proper documentation.

Where are your locations?

We currently operate facilities in Richland and Kennewick, with new locations opening in Pasco and Richland in 2026. See our Locations page for details.

Cost & Payment

How much does it cost?

Housing costs vary by room type and location. We offer a sliding scale fee structure based on income. Contact us for current rates and to discuss financial assistance options.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept Medicaid and some private insurance plans. Our admissions team will work with you to verify your coverage and benefits.

What if I can't afford the fees?

We offer sliding scale fees, payment plans, and financial assistance for qualifying individuals. We believe cost should never be a barrier to recovery.

What's included in the cost?

Housing fees cover room, utilities, WiFi, basic household supplies, access to all programs and services, case management, and peer support.

Is there a deposit required?

A small security deposit may be required depending on the payment method. This deposit is refundable upon successful completion of the program and return of the room in good condition.

Services & Programming

What services do you provide?

Is programming mandatory?

Participation in certain core programming (such as house meetings and random drug testing) is mandatory. Other services are voluntary but strongly encouraged.

Can I work or go to school while living here?
